The Cougars had our first match of the 2020 season yesterday, and it was one for the books! A top effort from the bowlers had the United batting lineup huddling from the rain in the gazebo dreaming of the days of tea. If the bowling seemed impressive, the Cougars were quickly brought back down to earth when the innings sat at 18-3 inside 3 overs. Thankfully there was not to be a 'Metchosin Collapse', as Rob steadied the innings while Izak ruined the pride of the United bowlers. Both batsmen saw the chase safely home with 30 overs to spare. Top overall efforts from Izak (70 runs, 2 wickets, 1 catch) & Rob (28 runs, 3 wickets, 1 catch and 1 runout). As well, great to see the new debutants Tanzil, JK and Viquar with both T & Viquar getting their first wickets. Always great to see new Metchosin players!
